The Nylon FL-3 Tank Fitting Flange is designed for use with S3 fuel or water senders, as well as S3H holding tank (black water) senders and NMEA2000 digital senders; N3 fuel and water sensor and N3H holding tanks sensor. This durable fitting is specifically engineered to be installed on the topside of tanks, creating a standardized 1 ¼" BSP (British Standard Pipe) thread connection.
The FL-3 flange can be used independently without the need for additional under-ring components like the FLS-U. One of its key features is the inclusion of larger screw holes, allowing for the use of more substantial screws when necessary, which can provide increased stability and security in certain applications.
Primarily, this flange serves as a mounting solution for the S3 sensor within the tank. To ensure a proper seal and prevent leaks, the FL-3 comes complete with a nitrile rubber gasket. Nitrile rubber is known for its excellent resistance to oils, fuels, and other petroleum-based fluids, making it an ideal choice for various tank environments. A viton gasket is also available if fitting to a petrol tank. This is advisable due to the increasing amout of ethanol now contained in modern petrol.
