The TX is our most configurable truck and bus fuel sender: one unit that measures tank level and handles fuel circulation. It carries suction and return ports for both the engine and a night heater or auxiliary system, an air vent to keep tank pressure stable, and an optional suction filter to keep debris out of the fuel.
It's the sender European truck and bus builders reach for — fitted as original equipment by Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Scania, MAN, Iveco, DAF and Renault, among others.
Because almost everything is made to order, there are hundreds of TX variants. We tailor each one to the vehicle:
- Suction, return, heater and vent ports positioned to suit, with unused ports blanked off
- Port fittings from hose tails to quick-release connectors, in a range of sizes
- DIN plug connector as standard; flying lead, Superseal or other connectors on request
- Optional high or low level alarm
The body is aluminium with a bayonet fitment for quick installation, rated to IP65, and suitable for diesel and bio-fuel.
With so many combinations of length, port size and thread, vent, resistance and filtration, it's worth a quick chat so we get you the right unit first time.
Replacing an existing TX? Tell us the make and model of the vehicle plus the manufacturer or Wema part number — it's stamped on the top of the sender. If you're not sure, send us a photo and we'll identify it.
For new applications we need to know:
- Manufacturer (Scania, Volvo, M.A.N. etc)?
- Application (Diesel/Bio-fuel etc.)?
- Length of sensor (and/or height of tank minus 10mm)?
- Resistance value (Empty Ohm (i.e. 10) and Full Ohm (i.e.180) =>10-180 ohms)?
- Fitting for suction – dimension and/or quick fit?
- Fitting for return – dimension and/or quick fit?
- Fitting for heater – dimension?
- Fitting for heater return – dimension?
- Fitting for air vent – dimension?
- Electronic connector (i.e. DIN 2-4 pin or other)?
