The Nylon FLB Tank Inspection Hatch is a crucial component designed for easy access to the topside of tanks. This versatile inspection hatch provides a secure and efficient way to monitor and maintain tank contents. The hatch is engineered with durability and functionality in mind, making it an ideal choice for various industrial and marine applications.
One of the key features of this tank inspection hatch is its straightforward installation and operation. The hatch is secured firmly in place by tightening the central stainless steel bolt, ensuring a watertight seal when closed. This tightening mechanism not only prevents leaks but also allows for quick and easy removal when access to the tank interior is required. The use of stainless steel for the central bolt ensures resistance to corrosion, even in harsh environments.
For those requiring additional functionality, an alternative version is available. The FLB-1 model comes equipped with a 1 ¼" BSP female thread, specifically designed to accommodate S3 type level senders. This feature enables monitoring of tank levels whilst only cutting a single hole in the tank.
The Nylon FLB Tank Inspection Hatch is designed to provide a balance between simplicity and functionality. Its 152mm diameter offers ample access for inspection and maintenance tasks, while the 115mm ø hole requirement ensures a snug fit in the tank structure. The use of nylon in its construction contributes to the hatch's lightweight but solid nature and resistance to chemical degradation, making it suitable for a wide range of liquids and environments.
When selecting a tank inspection hatch, consider factors such as the tank's contents, environmental conditions, and frequency of access required. The FLB Tank Inspection Hatch's robust design and ease of use make it an excellent choice for both occasional inspections and regular maintenance routines. Its economical price point, coupled with its durability, provides a cost-effective solution for tank management needs.
For optimal performance and longevity, it's recommended to periodically check the tightness of the central stainless steel bolt and inspect the hatch for any signs of wear or damage.
Cut a 115mm hole in the tank.
Loosely screw together the two plates with the stainless split pin in place.
Lightly coat the O-ring with dishwasher liquid and put between the two plates.
